About the CIT Division
- Industry-Aligned, Hands-On Training - The CIT Division has built a reputation for producing job-ready graduates through hands-on, industry-aligned training across welding, electrical, HVAC, industrial systems, and building construction programs.
- National Recognition in SkillsUSA - CIT programs consistently compete and place at the state and national level in SkillsUSA, with recent national winners in Welding and Welding Fabrication.
- Welding Program Growth & Expansion - The Welding program has experienced significant growth, including facility upgrades, expanded high school pipelines, and a major equipment grant proposal backed by industry partners.
- Strong Industry Partnerships - CIT maintains active relationships with regional employers like Hyster-Yale, Crown Equipment, and Edwards Inc., leading to direct job placement pipelines, internships, and Letters of Support for grant projects.
Essential Job Functions
What You'll Do
As Dean, you'll oversee the leadership, management, and administration of a division that includes high-demand programs such as Automotive, Building Construction, HVAC, Horticulture, Welding, Electrical Systems, Architectural Technology and Industrial Technologies.
- Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation
- Ensure quality and relevance through data-informed decisions
- Supervise and support faculty, staff, and department chairs
- Lead recruitment, mentoring, and professional growth initiatives
- Manage division budgets with integrity and sustainability in mind
- Align program offerings with enrollment trends and workforce needs
- Create pathways to completion, career readiness, and lifelong learning
- Collaborate across departments to ensure every student thrives
Minimum Training and Experience
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related CIT field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible higher ed experience
- Experience in teaching, workforce development, or trades education
- Proven leadership in academic operations, faculty management and strategic planning
- Commitment to student success, equity and collaborative relationships
