_________________________________________________________________ The Director of Construction will lead all reconstruction operations from sales handoff through project completion, ensuring timely, high-quality execution of both residential and commercial projects within a 60-mile radius of Virginia Beach. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a background in high-volume construction and a passion for people, performance, and process. Director of Construction Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor Project Managers handling residential and commercial reconstruction projects Oversee job progress from intake to final delivery with a focus on quality and timelines Coordinate and supervise all phases of construction from planning through completion Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align operations with organizational goals Ensure high client satisfaction through proactive communication and reliability
Director of Construction Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience managing both construction projects and personnel Demonstrated success leading teams in high-volume, fast-paced construction environments Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor management, and multi-phase project execution Skilled in project management, estimating, scheduling, and problem-solving Background in hospital, high-production residential, or commercial construction is acceptable Clear and effective communicator who leads with accountability and empathy Ability to foster team coordination and support career development of others Committed to building a high-performing, value-driven culture Financial Management/Budgeting experience Keywords: Reconstruction, Leadership, Restoration
