To be successful in this role, you must have at least 10 years successful industry experience with at least 5 years handling accounts from $10 to $250 million+. A bachelor's degree in an industry-related field is required. You must be able to effectively prioritize and balance big picture & immediate responsibilities; listen effectively and value the opinions of others & acknowledge contributions of others; train, manage, and hold staff accountable to get results consistent with corporate plans; recognize, select, and hire top talent at the appropriate time; and develop talent to all levels within construction operations. You need a solid understanding of the local construction market and ability to effectively negotiate construction contracts to Ryan's best business and legal interest. You must have a proven ability to manage team successful & profitably and lead & develop people. Resolving issues promptly for a 'win-win' solution is required.

  • Develops contacts and quickly builds relationships with potential clients
  • Play a key role in relationship building and management of customers
  • Make effective and convincing formal sales presentations to prospective customers
  • Effectively negotiates business and legal provisions of construction contracts

  • Consistently achieves high levels of quality, design and profitability on projects assigned to the team

  • Assures that the team's accounts receivable are managed effectively and collected promptly
  • Assures that team warranty issues are resolved promptly and effectively
  • Assures that general team administrative responsibilities are carried out promptly, correctly
  • Assesses and promotes professional development for direct reports
  • Implements, and holds team accountable to, corporate goals and initiatives
  • Makes effective and convincing formal sales presentations
  • Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control and material pricing
  • Delegates appropriate type and amount of work to others in order to leverage personal effectiveness
  • Effectively prioritizes and balances big picture and immediate responsibilities
  • Ability to listen effectively, value the opinions of others and acknowledge contributions of others
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others at all levels
  • Ability to train, manage and hold staff accountable to get results consistent with corporate plans
  • Ability to recognize, select and hire top talent at the appropriate time
  • Effectively negotiates the business and legal provisions of construction contracts
  • Resolves issues promptly for a 'win-win' solution
  • Displays natural leadership skills and qualities to guide a team of up to two Team Leaders, eight Project Managers and three Project Assistants

You will really stand out if you:

  • Four-year college degree in construction management or construction engineering
  • Minimum 10 years successful project management with at least 5 years handling contract values from $10 to $100 million+
  • Proven ability to manage PM teams successfully and profitably
  • Local trade partner and consultant relationships within the Dallas/Ft. Worth market
