Senior Project Manager

My client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a ground-up school construction project from preconstruction through final turnover. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in K-12 or public works projects, demonstrates excellent leadership, and has a track record of delivering complex builds on time and within budget.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for DSA Construction Senior Project Manager in Santa Monica:

• Lead all phases of a new school building and construction project from groundbreaking to completion
• Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and cost management
• Coordinate and direct project teams, including engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors
• Ensure jobsite safety, quality assurance, and risk mitigation
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client and project stakeholders
• Drive regular reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking
• Manage project close-out, punch lists, and warranty phases

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate for DSA Construction Senior Project Manager in Santa Monica:

• 8+ years of project management experience in commercial construction
• Experience managing ground-up educational or public works projects, ideally over $20M
• Strong knowledge of DSA procedures and public contracting requirements
• Proficient in construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
