Dsa Project Manager - Construction

Our client is a leading general contractor based in Los Angeles, specializing in delivering complex DSA Public works projects. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced DSA Project Manager - Construction with expertise in DSA (Division of the State Architect) to help lead the team/project.

Job Description

This DSA Project Manager - Construction will report into the Senior Project Manager.

• Manage all phases of health care construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring adherence to DSA standards.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, monitoring progress and resolving issues as they arise.
• Serve as the primary liaison with DSA, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee contract negotiations, procurement, and change management processes.
• Lead project meetings, providing updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, with a focus on DSA-regulated projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of DSA regulations, policies, and approval processes.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale educational construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Pro core, Blue beam, MS Project).
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.
