Our client is a leading general contractor based in Los Angeles, specializing in delivering complex DSA Public works projects. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in DSA (Division of the State Architect) to help lead the team/project.
Job Description
This DSA Project Manager will report into the Senior Project Manager. Responsibilities include:
- Managing all phases of health care construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring adherence to DSA standards.
- Developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules, monitoring progress and resolving issues as they arise.
- Serving as the primary liaison with DSA, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conducting regular site visits to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Overseeing contract negotiations, procurement, and change management processes.
- Leading project meetings, providing updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentoring and guiding junior project managers and team members.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, with a focus on DSA-regulated projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of DSA regulations, policies, and approval processes.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale educational construction projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Pro core, Blue beam, MS Project).
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Not for New York City Applicants.
