Summary/Objective
The Construction Manager role will be responsible for field support of construction activities, assisting in design, coordination of cost estimates, budget management, project administration and execution of electric vehicle charging solutions in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Candidates should be capable of providing a high level of technical competence in the electric vehicle charging market as well as project management principles.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project and Construction Management of Electric Vehicle Charging Station deployments.
- Onsite project support of construction activities for safety, tracking, and field related construction tasks.
- Preparation of best practice site layouts, engineering and customer facing proposals based on customer requirements.
- Project forecasting and scheduling.
- Project budgeting and financial tracking.
- Preparation and management of RFP/RFI documents.
- Preparation and management of construction schedules.
- Interpretation and review of vendor documents and drawings.
- Tracking and coordination of changes to scope and/or costs.
- Coordination of engineering, utility, and permitting engagements.
- Management of construction documents and progress reports.
- Provide construction coordination and support of vendors and field personnel.
- Ensure HSSE adherence of internal and external stakeholders.
- Project estimation functions including vendor reviews and internal costing calculations.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and technical specifications for new equipment.
- Capability of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting expected deadlines.
- Collaboration with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Support the entire Project Delivery team to accomplish unit goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
- Skilled in principles of project and construction management.
- Experience managing EVSE projects from design through installation.
- PMP certification or 5 plus years of directly relevant work experience.
- Electrical construction experience.
- EV specific construction experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local to Southeast North America Region
- Current and valid electrical license.
- Experience as an electrician, superintendent, or related field experience.
- Experience with the electrical utilities and electrical construction.
- Overall knowledge of the NEC, best practice engineering standards, project scope identification, and design review.
- Experience with EVSE, Level 2 and Level 3 installations and design-builds.
- Experience working with AHJs, municipal permitting, and building codes.
- Experience with ADA requirements and standards.
- Experience with Federal grants, incentives, and programs.
- Experience in commercial construction specifically electrical and civil projects
- Proficiency with project management software.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam or AutoCad.
- Proficiency with entire spectrum of Microsoft Office products.
Location Requirement
- Candidates must reside within the Southeast region of the United States.
Travel
- Requires over 50% regional travel, primarily throughout the Southeast U.S.
