Job Description

As an Estimator, you'll work closely with project managers, preconstruction teams, subcontractors, and clients to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic bids for a wide variety of commercial construction projects-including healthcare, education, religious, civic, and industrial sectors. Your insights and experience will directly impact the success and profitability of each project pursued.

• Lead the full estimating process for negotiated and hard bid projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
• Develop project scopes and solicit competitive bids from subcontractors and vendors
• Evaluate subcontractor qualifications and pricing to ensure complete and accurate coverage
• Collaborate with project teams during design development and preconstruction
• Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather project-specific information
• Participate in project handoffs and support seamless transitions to operations teams

The Successful Applicant

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (general contractor setting preferred)
• Solid understanding of construction means and methods, materials, and subcontractor markets
• Proficiency in estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, or similar tools
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a passion for problem-solving
