Description
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects (ground-up and renovations)
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to assess scope and requirements
Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors
Collaborate with the preconstruction and project management teams to develop bid strategies
Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis using estimating software
Participate in value engineering and cost-saving proposals
Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners
Track historical cost data to inform future estimates and improve accuracy
Assist in preparing bid packages and presenting estimates to clients or executives
Profile
The ideal candidate has 3-7 years of commercial estimating experience, strong take-off and cost analysis skills, and is comfortable working on both ground-up and renovation projects. Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and collaborative, with solid knowledge of construction pricing and subcontractor coordination.
Job Offer
Competitive base salary: $100,000-$130,000+ (based on experience)
