Job Description

What Construction Project Estimator Will Be Doing

• Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
• Analyze plans, drawings, and specifications to forecast project costs
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to align on scope and budget
• Source and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Monitor and update budgets throughout project execution
• Identify cost-saving strategies that maintain quality and performance
• Maintain organized records of estimates and financial documentation
• Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety codes, and internal procedures

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

• At least 2 years of experience in construction estimating (Commercial project experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations
• Proficiency with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar)
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
