My client are a well-established Seattle-based General Contractor specializing in commercial construction projects across a range of sectors, including QSRs, retail, automotive, and tenant improvement. With a strong pipeline of projects and a commitment to quality and innovation, they are looking to add a talented Estimator to their established team.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for ground-up and tenant improvement projects Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids Review plans and specifications to identify project scope and potential risk Develop project budgets and assist in value engineering solutions Work closely with project managers and clients during the preconstruction phase Participate in design-build and negotiated project pursuits Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing trends MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant Experience in commercial construction estimating (GC or subcontractor experience welcome) Strong understanding of construction drawings, building codes, and materials Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Sage Estimating, or similar) Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids under tight deadlines Local market experience in Seattle and surrounding areas is a plus What's on Offer $140,000+ depending on experience Union Signatory
