Estimator- Commercial Construction

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in evaluating project costs and creating accurate, competitive bids for a variety of commercial construction projects. You will collaborate closely with the preconstruction, project management, and executive teams, as well as with subcontractors and suppliers. Client Details My client are a well-established Seattle-based General Contractor specializing in commercial construction projects across a range of sectors, including QSRs, retail, automotive, and tenant improvement. With a strong pipeline of projects and a commitment to quality and innovation, they are looking to add a talented Estimator to their established team. Description Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for ground-up and tenant improvement projects
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
Review plans and specifications to identify project scope and potential risk
Develop project budgets and assist in value engineering solutions
Work closely with project managers and clients during the preconstruction phase
Participate in design-build and negotiated project pursuits
Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing trends
Profile
Experience in commercial construction estimating (GC or subcontractor experience welcome)
Strong understanding of construction drawings, building codes, and materials
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Sage Estimating, or similar)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
Local market experience in Seattle and surrounding areas is a plus
Job Offer $140,000+ depending on experience Union Signatory
