Summary We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will prepare detailed estimates for a range of exciting projects, work collaboratively with project teams to ensure cost accuracy, and provide support to fellow estimators and managers across various estimating tasks. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive estimates for upcoming projects utilizing hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating methods. Thoroughly review and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications, and addenda. Conduct quantity take-offs to effectively organize and price project information. Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to enhance project accuracy. Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve any pricing discrepancies. Develop structured estimate formats encompassing general conditions, bidding processes, quantity takeoffs, and bid analysis. Contribute to the preparation of bid proposals for submission. Create preliminary schedules for proposed projects to guide timelines. Assist team members with special projects related to estimating tasks. Perform any other relevant duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects, demonstrating expertise in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating. Preferred experience on projects sized $20M or greater. Open to local candidates or those willing to relocate.
