Staff Manager For Lynn Plant Services
The Staff Manager for Lynn Plant Services will oversee construction, maintenance, and engineering projects at the Lynn manufacturing site. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the site's facilities. The manager will oversee a team of salaried and unionized team members and will work closely with vendors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results while adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage building permits for construction and maintenance projects.
- Oversee in-house craft project management and ensure timely completion of initiatives.
- Coordinate multiple construction and maintenance projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Develop accurate project estimates, monitor expenses, and control costs effectively.
- Work effectively in a unionized environment, managing labor relations and adhering to collective bargaining agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Embrace GE Aerospace Lean System (FLIGHT DECK) to continue driving transformational improvements.
Critical Competencies
- Familiarity with unionized environments, including understanding collective bargaining agreements and managing labor relations effectively.
- High voltage knowledge and possession of key licenses a plus, (e.g., emergency response certification, hoisting license, sprinkler contractor's license, operating engineer license, HVAC license).
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Commitment to OSHA standards and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Maintain and utilize operating engineer licenses (1st or 2nd) and other required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of facilities project coordination experience) + Minimum of 5 years of facilities experience and/or construction management
- Current Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License
