We are a fast-growing regionally trusted home building company seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with expertise in construction accounting. If you’re a QuickBooks Online pro and understand the unique challenges of managing construction finances, we want to hear from you.
*Key Responsibilities:*
 Manage daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
 Track and allocate costs accurately using job costing
 Manage Work in Progress accounting
 Handle progress billing and ensure proper revenue recognition under construction contracts
 Process and manage subcontractor paperwork, including W-9s and certificates of insurance
 Oversee construction payroll and ensure compliance with state/federal labor requirements
 Assist with project budgeting, cost forecasting, and variance analysis
 Collaborate with project managers and company leadership for accurate financial tracking
 Provide timely and accurate monthly financials, including project-level P&Ls
 Perform monthly reconciliations and accounting close accurately and on a timely basis
*Qualifications:*
 3+ years of QuickBooks Online experience in a construction setting
 Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing, WIP, and progress billing
 Familiarity with contract revenue recognition methods
 Experience with subcontractor management and compliance
 Solid grasp of construction payroll and certified payroll requirements
 Proficiency in project budgeting and financial reporting
 Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
 Able to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
 Bonus: Experience using Buildertrend, Knowify, CoConstruct, or other construction-specific platforms
*Preferred:*
 Knowledge of GAAP for construction
 Experience working with GCs or specialty subcontractors
 QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certifications
