Position Overview

This is a key role for an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper with strong construction accounting knowledge. You’ll take ownership of all day-to-day financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and collaboration with our project and operations teams. This position requires someone detail-oriented, self-motivated, and ready to contribute from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger, bank, and credit accounts

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, job costing, and customer billing

• Prepare and submit AIA pay applications and lien waivers

• Process weekly payroll, including certified payroll and time tracking

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements

• Assist CPA with audits and year-end tax preparation

• File sales/use taxes and manage other regulatory reporting

• Work closely with project managers to align job costing with progress

• Maintain compliance with employment and accounting standards

Qualifications

Required:

• 4+ years of bookkeeping experience (construction environment preferred)

• Proficient with QuickBooks Online Advanced and Microsoft Excel

• Familiar with job costing, AIA billing, and certified payroll

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of city use tax and general employment practices

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Clean background check and drug screen

Preferred:

• QuickBooks Certified

• Experience with Sage 100 Contractor, Foundation, or similar platforms

• Familiarity with HR procedures and best practices
