Engineering Project Manager
Sodexo is seeking an Engineering Project Manager providing operations, maintenance, repairs, and minor construction for Sharp San Diego Metro Campus located in San Diego, CA. What you'll do includes planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated capital projects under $250k. You will review project proposals, establish work plans, and manage contractors to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget. You will also manage construction, including scheduling and financial management, quality control, and safety. Additionally, you will handle project engineering, sub-contractor management, and administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, and customer liaison. You will manage engineering paint and rehab projects for the environment of care, manage the grounds department, and manage ICRA/PCRA processes.
Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. What you bring includes a bachelor's degree in construction, civil, mechanical, electrical engineering, construction management, or architecture, or an associate's degree with relevant experience preferred. You must have a minimum of 5 years of direct project management experience in the building construction industry, with a strong preference for healthcare construction experience. You must have experience in dealing with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines. You must have demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience. You must be proficient in project management software, including Microsoft Project, and have strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a preference for Adobe Writer, Visio. You must be familiar with OSHPD and healthcare experience is preferred.
