: Rack Air is currently hiring an experienced HVAC Lead Installer / Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who is experienced in both HVAC installations and service/diagnostics . The right candidate will be responsible for installing new systems, diagnosing and repairing existing equipment, and leading installation projects while delivering top-quality service to our residential and commercial customers. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment

Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects from start to finish

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems

Perform system diagnostics, repairs, and replacement of components

Clean, adjust, and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems

Conduct warranty services and ensure systems operate at peak performance

Identify potential maintenance risks on equipment and recommend solutions

Perform installation and replacement of HVAC equipment and components

Conduct site assessments and prepare installation plans when needed

Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and building codes

Train and mentor junior technicians and installers

Communicate with customers to explain issues, solutions, and system operation

Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction

Maintain accurate service reports and installation records

Stay updated on HVAC technology and industry advancements

Preferred Skills & Experience: Experience using ServiceTitan and XOI (a plus)

Experience working with gas, propane, and sheet metal (a plus)

Strong knowledge of inverter systems , including diagnostics and service

Experience with Mini-Splits, Package Units, and Split Systems

Ability to work on both residential and commercial HVAC systems

Requirements: Minimum 5 years of HVAC field experience

At least 3 years in a Lead Technician or Lead Installer role

Must have both installation and service experience

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Manufacturer certifications preferred (Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Goodman, Lennox, etc.)

EPA Certification preferred

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

Technical HVAC certification preferred
