THE WORK: You’ll manage, oversee, and coordinate all facets of the pre-construction, bid, award, construction, and close-out phases of assigned K-12 construction projects, ensuring each phase is executed according to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
You’ll review pre-construction documents and submit comments to ensure alignment with requirements before construction begins.
You’ll prepare reports on project status, progress, and risks for upper management.
You’ll coordinate with public agencies during pre-construction and construction to ensure compliance.
You’ll work with clients and project staff to ensure alignment with goals.
You’ll monitor and manage the project budget, taking corrective actions as needed.
You’ll manage daily contractor activities, review schedules, and evaluate submittals.
You’ll review and negotiate contractor change orders, ensuring fair pricing and schedule impacts.
You’ll oversee payments to contractors, architects, engineers, and others.
You’ll administer Professional Service Agreements, ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.
You’ll manage project close-out, ensuring completion and proper documentation.
The role is onsite with clients and partners to enable delivery and foster relationships.
Salary range: $175,000 - $220,000 annually.
Compensation varies based on factors like location, role, skills, and experience. For roles in certain states, a legal minimum range is provided.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience and credentials.
Possession of or ability to obtain a CCM within one year.
Minimum 20 years of professional experience in construction or project management.
At least 17 years of experience in managing large projects (> $50M).
At least 5 years of experience in educational, public works, or large commercial projects.
BONUS POINTS: PMP, CCM, or related certifications.
Design Build experience.
Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
LEED or CHPS experience.
Experience with DSA processes.
California Architect or Professional Engineer license.
