Location: Belville, NC

Job Summary:

The Irrigation Foreman is responsible for leading a crew in the installation of irrigation systems on construction projects. This role requires hands-on leadership, project planning, safety enforcement, and close collaboration with the Construction Manager to ensure timely, high-quality installations that meet client expectations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm all crew members are present and ready before leaving the shop daily
  • Plan and review each day’s schedule in advance for productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure trucks and equipment are fueled and properly maintained each day
  • Communicate daily progress and updates with the Construction Manager
  • Prepare and stage all necessary materials in advance of scheduled work
  • Report material and job site needs to the Construction Manager promptly
  • Enforce and model safety practices across all job sites
  • Lay out irrigation systems according to design plans
  • Ensure irrigation installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and to spec
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites throughout each project
  • Perform and oversee maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Ensure truck and equipment are cleaned thoroughly at the end of each work week

Experience and Skills:

  • Valid driver’s license (required)
  • Proven experience leading irrigation crews and managing commercial installations
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation blueprints
  • Familiar with both 2-wire and conventional wired systems
  • Skilled in operating trenchers and other irrigation equipment
  • Ability to adapt in the field and make design adjustments as needed
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
  • Ability to train and develop crew members
  • Strong attention to detail and job site quality

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to perform physical labor, including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
