Jr. Project Manager - Commercial/Civil CONSTRUCTION

Job Summary:
The Civil/Commercial CONSTRUCTION Junior Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role supports senior project management staff in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Junior Project manager will interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members to facilitate smooth project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
Monitor construction progress and address any issues or delays with the senior project team
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
Support the procurement process by sourcing materials and coordinating deliveries.
Communicate project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction regulations.
Assist in resolving any disputes or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1-3 years of experience in commercial or civil construction.
Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction regulations.
Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
Qualifications:
Experience in estimating and contract negotiations.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
Previous field experience in commercial or civil construction projects.
