Summary:
The Construction Laborer for Concrete Foundations is responsible for performing physical labor at construction sites, primarily focused on building and maintaining concrete foundations. The role involves operating a range of hand and power tools and assisting in various construction activities under the guidance of a Foreman or Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Concrete Work:
Pour concrete and operate concrete vibrators to remove air pockets and ensure a solid foundation.
Construct and disassemble forms for pouring concrete, ensuring they are built to specified dimensions.
Apply slurry using appropriate tools and techniques to prepare surfaces for concrete pouring.
Move pumps and hoses for dewatering activities, preparing sites for concrete work.
Work safely and effectively around drills and other heavy machinery.
Qualifications: Experience with concrete work and foundation construction preferred.
Proficient in operating various equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Strong physical condition and stamina required for labor-intensive tasks.
Knowledgeable about construction site safety, including traffic control and confined space entry protocols.
