Lead Construction

Employee oversees skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of construction trades. Employee is responsible for supervising all construction personnel. Work requires initiative and judgement.

DUTIES OF JOB

• Supervises all construction personnel, duties include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing work, training personnel, and recommending applicant for employemnt or for discipline, termination or retention.
• Teaches and enforces safety regulations
• Orders and purchases materials, equipment and supplies
• Ensures proper equipment and supplies are available to complete various jobs
• Monitors jobs to ensure quality and compliance with job standards
• Estimates cost of various jobs
• Coordinates activities with other trades areas, project manager or outside contractors
• Recommends improvements, changes or new techniques and procedures
• Maintains records of jobs performed
• Reads complex blueprints and job specifications
• Maintains plans, records and files regarding construction repair jobs
• Supervises and assigns jobs for the paint crew
• Performs duties of a construction work when necessary

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50lbs frequently and 100lbs occasionally.
• Working from high locations from ladders or scaffolds. Physical work is a primary part of the job.
• Work environment invoices exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situation that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor conditions

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Minimum 15 years' experience in construction related trades

Must have a valid TN driver's license
