Job Overview
Pivotal Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Superintendent - Commercial Construction to oversee the successful execution of commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate brings 5-10 years of ground-up field leadership experience and a strong command of all phases of construction-from site work and foundations to structure, MEPs, and finishes. This is a boots-on-the-ground role where leadership, organization, and jobsite coordination are key. Key Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities for assigned ground-up projects Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and inspections Ensure projects are built to specifications, on schedule, and within budget Conduct and document daily jobsite reports, including progress photos and updates Maintain a clean and organized jobsite with strict adherence to safety protocols Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies Conduct weekly safety meetings and submit documentation accordingly Collaborate with Project Managers on schedules, scopes, and RFIs Manage subcontractor performance and quality control throughout all phases Maintain regular communication with owners, architects, and inspectors Assist with project punch list and closeout coordination
Qualifications
5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects Proven ability to lead subcontractors and enforce project quality, timeline, and safety standards In-depth knowledge of all phases of commercial construction, including foundations, framing, MEP systems, and finishes Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong understanding of project documentation, drawings, and schedules Proficient with construction software and digital reporting tools High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
