We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician-HVAC to join our hotel team at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport.
The Maintenance Tech-HVAC is a maintenance position that requires expertise in various mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. Maintenance Tech-HVAC will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment throughout the hotel, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role also involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of other equipment and facilities to ensure the hotel equipment operates efficiently and complies with all regulatory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshooting HVAC Unit Issues Installing New HVAC Units Changing Air Filter, and Cleaning Coils, Ductwork and Units Installing New Thermostats Daily Inspections of HVAC units and performance throughout the hotel Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all hotel equipment and systems. Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and friendly, professional manner. Assist contractors and maintain clean and organized workspaces. Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with safety protocols. Support additional maintenance operations assigned by supervisors. Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed. Complete and document maintenance tasks efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and closure of work orders. Job Qualifications and Additional Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting At least 3 years of HVAC experience WORKING knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent critical thinking skills Effective communication and people skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Key Competencies Plumbing, electrical and HVAC experience, and certifications preferred. Communication: Responsible for passing vital information to all appropriate parties related to critical equipment issues both through oral and written communication methods. Basic written and spoken English is required. Availability and Flexibility : Willingness and ability to participate in on-call and weekend rotations and work extra or irregular hours as needed during urgent situations. Safety : Conduct daily activities with a safety-first mindset. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities. Physical Requirements: Perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to fifty pounds. Mobility: Ability to travel around the hotel by walking, with regular physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Environmental Conditions: Potential exposure to hazardous weather conditions.
