Job Title: Mechanical Drafter Commercial Building Systems

Location: Zionsville IN Industry:Construction / Engineering / Commercial Buildings Employment Type:Full-Time | In-Office or Hybrid (as applicable) Reports To:Project Manager Key Responsibilities: Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings and construction documents for fire protection systemsusing AutoCAD and/or Revit any experience in HydraCad is a HUGE plus. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other drafters to develop coordinated and code-compliant design packages. Interpret mechanical design specifications, schematics, and markups to produce accurate layouts and detail drawings. Revise and update drawings based on redlines, field data, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files per company and client standards. Assist with clash detection, layout optimization, and coordination with other trades. Ensure all drawings adhere to local building codes, fire protection standards (e.g., NFPA), and project-specific requirements. Preferred Qualifications: -ANY level of NICET certification will have a huge leg up! Experience working oncommercial buildings, hospitals, schools, or industrial facilities. Knowledge ofNFPA standardsand local building/fire codes. BIM coordination experience is a plus. Familiarity with Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
