We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Senior Project Engineer to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating MEP systems, ensuring quality installations, and collaborating with project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
Oversee MEP design, coordination, and installation on construction projects.
Review and manage MEP drawings, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
Conduct site inspections to ensure MEP installations align with approved designs and quality standards.
Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and cost control for MEP scopes.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Identify and mitigate risks related to MEP systems and provide technical solutions.
Lead MEP coordination meetings and facilitate communication between trades.
Support commissioning and testing of MEP systems before project handover.
Assist in evaluating and selecting MEP subcontractors by reviewing qualifications, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating contract negotiations to align with budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
7 + years of experience in MEP engineering, construction, or project management.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and industry standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
