Salary: $235,000 - $365,000 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Counsel clients on various construction law matters, focusing on contract drafting, negotiation, and the intricacies of dispute resolution. Lead representation in alternative dispute resolution settings and manage litigation processes for construction disputes across state and federal jurisdictions. Oversee all litigation aspects, including but not limited to motion practice, discovery processes, and preparing for trials. Collaborate and strategize with an experienced team of attorneys on complex and consequential construction law cases. Constant communication with clients to ensure comprehensive resolution of disputes while maintaining the highest standards of legal service. Minimum Position Qualifications: JD from a top-tier law school with notable academic achievement. Active Bar Membership in Illinois is mandatory. Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction law or equivalent complex litigation settings. Proven track record in handling major construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and contract breaches. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in AmLaw 100 law firms or equivalent renowned legal settings. Judicial clerkship experience highly regarded. Broad experience in litigation, including motion practice and discovery proceedings. Skills: Expertise in drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts. Adept at legal and strategic analysis within complex litigation scenarios. Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
