What this job involves - The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
What is your day to day?
Perform general maintenance tasks including lighting system upkeep, minor plumbing repairs, and interior maintenance (e.g., hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture)
Assist operations team in building and facilities maintenance and repairs
Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests
Move office furniture, equipment and supplies as needed
Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
Comply with safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and identify/address safety hazards
Adhere to relevant ordinances, codes, and laws, including proper handling of hazardous materials
Participate in ongoing training programs and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Document work performance and materials procurement as directed
Perform other operational tasks typical of the Maintenance Mechanic role
Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call requirement)
Note: This role requires the ability to lift 80 lbs, use ladders up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English.
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
3+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Preferred
Completion of an applicable technical training program
