Job Responsibilities Your specific duties as a Network Construction Manager will include: Prepares and submits purchase orders and processes contractor invoices for OSP and ISP construction functions. Assists with project financials and milestone management, such as forecasting, issuing and receiving on vendor POs, invoicing on customer POs, tracking and resolving past due invoices. Provide additional administrative support as required. Communicates issues to management prior to reaching critical status. Develops progress reports, tracks progress and identifies/resolves obstacles. Assists with ad hoc reporting requests. Review construction design packages and distribute as necessary. Communicate with vendors concerning fiber construction work and billing. Understanding service delivery and permitting/licensing requirements for close out packages.
Job Requirements High School degree A valid driver's license required Minimum three (3) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience General knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for SCS. Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing OTDR and Power Meter General knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards. Fiber cable splicing OTDR testing Fiber network design OSP and ISP fiber construction Construction/Splicing crew management Power Utility make-ready work (NESC knowledge) UG utility location and re-routing Utility pole proposal management (SPANS, NJUNS, Katapult) Knowledge of budget development and execution Knowledge of construction management process Ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to direct and diagnose workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach and strong interpersonal skills Strong computer skills - MS office, SmartSheet, Excel and project management software knowledge
