What you’ll do as an Equipment Operator Safely operates drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the jobsite
Will develop and maintain a bore schedule
Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis – JSA prior to starting construction
Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
Ability to follow instructions
What you’ll need Must have at minimum Class C Regular Driver's License Class A Commercial Driver’s License Preferred To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Experience with drill set up and design processes, is preferred Basic ability to use small tools/hand tools Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions
Must have an acceptable driving record
Must be able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
Must have good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Must be very safety conscientious
Physical abilities & exposures Routinely : climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds Occasionally : work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse
