Job Title: Payroll Specialist – Construction Industry Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for a construction workforce, with a focus on Union employees. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience handling Union payroll and will also support the Accounts Payable department as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for Union and non-Union employees accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with union agreements, company policies, and federal/state regulations.
Prepare and maintain payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and overtime.
Assist with Accounts Payable tasks, including invoice processing and vendor management.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
Support audits and reporting requirements as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, specifically with Union employees.
Experience in construction industry payroll preferred.
Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and union agreements.
Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
