The Role:
As a Plant Operator, you’ll be responsible for monitoring and operating brine treatment and sludge processing systems at our water treatment facility. This hands-on role includes loading/unloading trucks, regulating system flows, conducting daily inspections, maintaining records, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to both mechanical systems and process control technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate brine treatment and sludge processing equipment
- Load and unload trucks, following proper procedures
- Monitor control panels, adjust valves, and regulate flow rates
- Record accurate operational data in databases and logs
- Conduct visual inspections and interpret meters, gauges, and test results
- Start and stop pumps, engines, and other equipment as needed
- Collect samples and assist with laboratory testing
- Maintain records to support regulatory compliance
- Perform daily operational checks and periodic pump inspections
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of experience in a water treatment or related facility
- Strong understanding of water treatment and solids removal operations
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding, high-risk environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb up to 30 rungs
