MNS is hiring a Principal Construction Manager to provide leadership, strategic planning, staff development, and business development for the construction management group within the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Requirements : Provide full program leadership for the Construction Management Department, Transportation Division. Lead efforts to develop, sustain, and grow business in transportation market sectors, ensuring revenue growth and profitability. Duties and Responsibilities Lead the transportation division of the Construction Management Department at the program level. Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve financial performance metrics in market sectors. Serve as Project Manager on selected projects. Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients at various levels, including elected officials, to ensure quality, timeliness, and profitability. Lead resolution of obstacles in delivering complex projects. Supervise and direct project staff and teams within the Transportation division. Manage projects to ensure efficient delivery and high-quality standards. Oversee planning and scheduling for multiple projects. Guide the development of construction management subprograms. Assist in program positioning and proposal efforts. Coordinate with Headquarters and Business Development teams to identify and pursue opportunities. Attend industry events and conferences for networking. Visit clients to position upcoming work. Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, interviews, and contract negotiations. Engage staff in strategic staffing and recruitment efforts. Monitor and ensure project profitability. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Successful candidates must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities. Minimum Education, Licensure, or Certification Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. California-registered Professional Engineer (PE). Valid California Class C driver’s license with an insurable record. Minimum Experience Required 15 years of industry experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and leadership roles. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent technical writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to learn and use Deltek Vision software. Effective interaction with staff and clients.
