JOB OVERVIEW
Are you a Certified Construction Engineer Level 2 and looking for a flexible way to work? We are seeking a certified Construction Engineer Level 2 to serve as the primary liaison between contractors and the engineer in observing and monitoring on-site work.
Coordinate inspection of project work
Ensure work performed by contractors is in compliance with all state and federal specifications
Correlate and analyze field data, review plans and records, support and prepare change orders
Assist with dispute resolution, estimates, conduct progress meetings, prepare meeting minutes and other related duties
Finalize or assist with finalizing and closing out the project
Perform data entry into ODOT’s CMS/SITE MANAGER system or local documentation equivalent as directed by the project engineer or LPA person in responsible
Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Requirements: Professional Engineers (PE) License in Ohio and ODOT Construction Engineer 2 (CE2) credential.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and computer-aided design
Expected Hours of Work: This PRN (as-needed) position will provide you with the flexibility and the chance to work on an as-needed basis, supporting our team and projects as demands arise. This status allows you to accept or decline work based on your availability, and your work may be sporadic based on project demands and business needs.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day. Must have a valid driver’s license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company’s standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.
