About Our Client
Our client is a well-known, leading national General Contractor that is building out their US presence near Cicero, IL. Overall, this organization is over a billion dollars in revenue with the US being multi-million. They are now looking to bring on a strong Project Accountant to assist in the growth of the company and exciting upcoming projects.
Job Description
Project Accountant Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of project costs and revenues.
- Perform analysis and reconciliation of project accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with project managers to review financial status of projects.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Participate in the annual audit process.
- Support the accounting department with other tasks as needed.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Accountant should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of project accounting
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
