Your role as a Project Director Construction

Key responsibilities: Salary: $155,000 - $185,000 plus bonus About the Job NewCold is seeking an experienced Project Director. The Project Director is thelink between all the moving parts in building a new worksite, from headquartersin the Netherlands, contractors, suppliers and all cross functional departmentsat NewCold. The Project Director is responsible for the entire project from preconstructionactivities until the completion of project to handover to operations. In thisrole, he/she makes sure that the project gets delivered on time, within budgetand in scope. While managing the project, the Project Director also ensuresthat Health & Safety protocols are embedded in project scope, thatcollaboration in the project team is safe and sound, that reporting to keystakeholders is accurate, complete and in-time. What will you be doing? Work with all stakeholdersinternal and external (GC's, specialty contractors, Design and Engineeringconsultants, etc.) Manage all project deliverables Own the creation and management of the project budget Own the creation and management of the project schedule Ensure all parties are aware of and abide by the safety and quality standardsthat will be used in the project Supervise the project financially and contractually Key stakeholder in negotiatingand executing of all contracts. Monitor the design and procurement with support of the specialist disciplines(D&E, MHE, Procurement) and the associated engineering companies Be the leader in delivering the project with support of key team members. Reporting project progress and financial status (weekly and monthly) toexecutive leadership internally and externally Identify when and wheresupport and guidance is needed to bring forwardactivities/suppliers/team-members. Operate independently while fosteringcollaboration across diverse teams and workstreams to ensure alignment andexecution.

Our ideal candidate has: Bachelor Degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering At least 7+ years of professional experience as a project manager on complex construction with multiple stakeholders. Automation and/or logistics projects are preferred. Experience as an owner's rep considered a plus. Has experience on design-build projects. Excellent written and verbal communication. Able to leverage technology to collaborate and communicate global partners. In-depth knowledge project management process and principles. Willingness to travel to project location - varies from 50% to 75% based on current project activities.
