Responsibilities Manage roadway/highway construction projects with a focus on client service Monitor construction schedules and project budgets Supervise field technicians Translate and implement project plans and special provisions Evaluate and document construction operations Sample, test, and approve materials according to standards Complete project documentation, including progress payments and contract changes Perform quality control activities and review work of others Communicate effectively with design teams, clients, and agencies Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering DOT Construction Management experience 3+ years of experience in construction inspection and layout staking DOT construction material certification in areas such as Aggregate Production, Bituminous Plant, Bridge Construction, Concrete, and Grading Familiarity with state DOT standards Strong decision-making, flexibility, quality focus, and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CADD (MicroStation preferred) Preferred additional experience: topographic and construction surveying, roadway design, experience with GEOPAK and MicroStation, understanding of DOT consulting expectations U.S. Residency
