Project Manager For Big Box Retail, Automotive And Grocery Construction
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage big box retail, automotive and grocery projects. This role will be responsible for the entire project life cycle, from planning and coordination to execution and delivery, ensuring that each project meets client expectations, is delivered on time, and stays within budget. Projects include both ground up and interior builds.
Job Description
Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish. Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities. Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimates. Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration. Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals. Develop strong relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers. Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders. National travel only about 20% of the time - when needed.

The Successful Applicant
Proven experience in managing big box retail projects like automotive and grocery construction. Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, and resource management. Prior experience working for a general contractor. Available for National Travel when needed. Leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of big box retail construction, both ground up and interior. Quick problem-solving skills to resolve issues and keep projects on track. A focus on safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards. Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and client management. Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
