Job Description
- Relationship Management: Nurture positive relationships with owners, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Contractual Understanding: Understand owner contract requirements and write and review contractual obligations.
- Constructability & Bidding: Perform a constructability review in partnership with Project Superintendents. Work in partnership with estimating and Senior PMs for bidding in sub-markets and GMP development.
- Schedule Development: Develop project schedules in partnership with Project Superintendents, identifying key risks within the schedule (e.g., long lead procurement items).
- Permitting & Insurance: Verify permitting, local licenses, and approvals to begin job. Ensure all project insurances, including builder's risk and bonds, are obtained.
- Project Start-Up Coordination: Partner with Project Superintendents to ensure project start-up requirements are met.
- Pre-construction Involvement: Maintain active involvement in the pre-construction process relating to estimating, bidding, project logistics, and similar responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering Management or a similar degree. In lieu of a degree, commensurate experience in the Construction field is acceptable.
- Experience: At least 6 years of applicable commercial construction management experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience with construction software platforms. At least 2 years of experience leading project teams.
- Technical Skills: Computer literate with excellent proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent command of critical path scheduling. Complete understanding of plan specifications, scopes of work, and other necessary construction documents to ensure the job is completed as expected.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Work Ethic: Able to work within tight deadlines and stressful situations. Can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Can work successfully in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Certifications: Must have, or complete within six months of hire, CPR and first aid certifications and OSHA 10 training.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours. Work hours will be consistent with a Project Manager in the construction industry.
