Project Manager, Construction Controls Integration (BMS/EPMS)

Responsibilities:
- Define and manage scope, and schedule of BMS, DCIM, and EPMS vendors during the new build construction of CyrusOne data centers.
- Develop and distribute RFP documentation; engage vendors to obtain competitive quotes.
- Oversee the end-to-end coordination of multiple stakeholder deliverables and requirements, proactively managing complex project dynamics to ensure alignment and prevent scope gaps.
- Review control sequences of operations, offering detailed observations and actionable feedback to design teams.
- Manage financial aspects of BMS and EPMS construction contracts, including procurement tasks such as issuing RFPs, responding to RFIs, evaluating vendor proposals, and generating purchase orders and project amendments.
- Perform in-depth reviews of BMS and EPMS submittals for accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure BMS and EPMS systems are deployed in full compliance with the scope of work (SOW) and specifications.
- Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings to ensure alignment with controls integration.
- Attend project meetings, coordinate with project leadership, and report progress regularly to Construction Management counterparts.
- Work effectively under tight project timelines while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and competing demands.
- Proactively drive vendors to complete work, identifying and eliminating obstacles to ensure timely project resolution.
- Read and interpret control system drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Review and validate controls Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Oversee and support vendor-led controls commissioning activities in the field.
- Maintain regular communication with general contractors and subcontractors; supervise control vendor work to ensure compliance with design documents, submittals, and applicable electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Project Management and/or Controls related experience
- Preferred experience with industrial controls in mission-critical environments.
- Experience in Controls or Electrical construction project management and coordinating across multiple teams or vendors is a plus.
- Requires multifaceted project management experience with the ability to effectively balance and prioritize competing demands under aggressive timelines.
- Must have a proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Minimal Travel required <10%
Education/Certifications:
- High School diploma required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
