Job Description

Key responsibilities for Project Manager - DSA Construction in Long Beach:

  • Lead the end-to-end management of public school building and construction and modernization projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, including school districts, architects, engineers, contractors, and DSA representatives.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables from design through closeout.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, DSA regulations, and client standards.
  • Manage bidding and procurement processes in coordination with the client team.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact scope, schedule, or cost.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - DSA Construction in Long Beach:

  • 7+ years of project management experience in K-12 public school construction.
  • Strong knowledge of DSA regulations and project delivery processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
