Senior Project Manager
Our client, a reputable Design-Build General Contractor and Construction Management firm based in Indianapolis, has been a cornerstone of the construction industry for over 60 years. Specializing in education and municipal construction projects, they are renowned for their collaborative work environment and strong, long-standing relationships with local municipalities and clients. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team, overseeing education and municipal projects, and mentoring a talented group of Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Managers.
Responsibilities include thoroughly understanding all project specifications, the contract's general conditions and confirming all materials and subcontract work comply with contract documents and quality specifications. The role also involves execution of the established schedule, determining work priorities, estimating manpower needs, and assigning work activities among employees. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will coordinate and track job-site materials, equipment, and subcontractors, manage all labor costs, ensure employee training, and lead inspection of day to day construction work to enforce conformity to specifications of contract.
The successful applicant will hold an Associate Degree in Construction Management or a similar field, or a Journeyman status in a building trade, or a combination of high school diploma with relevant experience and related certifications. Minimum five years of experience in the construction industry on complex projects and minimum three years of direct supervisory experience are required. The candidate must also have knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques, and be capable of reading and comprehending blueprints and specifications for institutional, commercial, and industrial projects.
