Description Brown and Caldwell (BC) is seeking a mid-level Project Manager to lead Environmental Construction Services (ECS) projects as part of BC's Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) team. The ideal candidate possesses effective networking, communication, and organization skills to collaborate across various BC business units and with key clients and external partners to deliver at-risk projects using design-build (DB), engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), and construction management at risk (CMAR) models. This position will work under the guidance of an experienced IPD Senior Manager to execute environmental remediation, mitigation, and restoration/closure projects, as well as smaller industrial and municipal water/wastewater projects (typically The ECS PM will collaborate with BC professionals in environmental science, engineering, compliance, permitting, cost estimating, operations/maintenance/monitoring (OM&M), and construction procurement and management to deliver solutions meeting BC's standards for safety, quality, risk management, and profitability. Key private sector clients span production, distribution, and energy markets. Primary duties include: Managing environmental and water/wastewater projects nationwide with project teams, clients, and subcontractors. Developing and managing project proposals, budgets, and schedules using BC's WorkSmart+ and Microsoft Project+. Applying environmental expertise to identify and develop solutions for contaminants and media. Working independently to meet client expectations and project goals, coordinating regularly with ECS leadership. Writing, reviewing, and editing technical documents such as proposals, permits, work plans, and reports. Reviewing site plans, investigation data, and reports to develop environmental strategies. Building a professional network through industry engagement and staying informed on trends and technologies. Assisting leadership in identifying new business opportunities through client relationships. Developing project plans, SOPs, templates, and toolkits for efficient delivery. Coordinating work across disciplines and mentoring junior staff. Promoting company initiatives and values in project delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor's in civil/environmental engineering or science, with 6-10+ years of relevant experience; P.E. or E.I.T. preferred. Experience managing diverse technical teams and developing project proposals, budgets, and schedules. Growing expertise in environmental solutions, with hands-on field experience preferred. Understanding of health and safety protocols for environmental construction. Excellent communication skills, including technical writing. Proficiency in MS Office and project management software. Experience with procurement, regulatory programs, and permitting is preferred. Willingness to travel up to 25% annually. Positive attitude, flexibility, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
