Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with ERCs quality standards. The Project Manager collaborates closely with field supervisors, estimators, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful outcomes and maintain strong professional relationships.

Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with ERCs quality standards. The Project Manager collaborates closely with field supervisors, estimators, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful outcomes and maintain strong professional relationships.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 10-hour shifts
- Friday: 8-hour shift
- Additional hours as needed based on project demands
- Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient execution of project plans.
- Monitor job site performance to ensure work is completed to company and industry standards, emphasizing safety and quality.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Procore software.
- Track and manage project costs, change orders, submittals, and documentation.
- Lead project meetings, provide regular status updates, and proactively resolve issues that arise during construction.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and inspectors.
- Support estimating teams during preconstruction and bidding phases as needed.
- Promote ERCs core values and represent the company professionally at all times.
- Our projects include public and private entities including Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial developments.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the heavy civil construction industry.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, excavation, grading, utility installation, roadwork, and other civil scopes.
- Proficient with construction management software, including Procore.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to job sites throughout Yavapai County.
- Clean driving record for the previous 5 years.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
- OSHA 30 Certification
- PMP or CCM certification (a plus)
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista or similar project management systems
