Project Manager MEP/FP Construction

An established, innovative mechanical contractor is seeking a skilled Project Manager with deep technical knowledge in mechanical, plumbing, and/or fire protection (MEP/FP) systems. This individual must be a proactive leader, confident communicator, and relentless problem-solver with a passion for delivering high-quality results and an exceptional client experience. You'll oversee complex commercial construction projects across healthcare, life sciences, and higher education environments. Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle MEP/FP construction projects, from planning through closeout
  • Collaborate with field staff, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment and progress
  • Serve as primary point of contact for client communication and project updates
  • Track financial performance, projections, and labor productivity
  • Prepare and maintain short- and long-term project schedules
  • Lead weekly internal coordination meetings
  • Support and mentor direct reports as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement and seek out innovative solutions to challenges

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical construction or related industry
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including oversight of project budgets, timelines, and client relationships
  • Strong technical background in HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Sage, or Timberscan is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in high-performance environments
