About the Position
The company is seeking a Civil Project Manager to lead a high-impact pipeline rehabilitation project for the City of Los Angeles. This is a full-time, on-site role based out of the project field office in Los Angeles County.
This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving in the field, and has a deep understanding of multi-staged construction projects. You will play a pivotal role in managing the safety, financial performance, and team development on-site. You'll also have the opportunity to shape your role based on your individual strengths, with flexibility to lead various scopes of self-performed work, as well as cultivate relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and city personnel.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Solve construction-related challenges directly on-site.
- Collaborate with the Project Superintendent on site logistics planning.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, labor, and cost reports.
- Analyze and forecast Total Cost Projections.
- Lead project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and Change Orders.
- Foster strong relationships with designers, vendors, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
- Interpret and maintain contractual compliance with the City of Los Angeles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction; pipeline rehabilitation and sliplining experience strongly desired.
- Proven track record managing subcontracts, subcontractors, and self-perform crews.
- Strong leadership in managing teams and developing talent.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, field-based environment with multiple stakeholders.
