Job Description
Key Responsibilities for Project Superintendent - Public Works Construction in Los Angeles
- Lead field operations for public works construction projects, including street improvements, utilities, storm drains, sidewalks, grading, and other civil infrastructure.
- Manage subcontractors, field crews, and day-to-day site activities to ensure project timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations are met.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to ensure compliance with contract specifications and local agency requirements.
- Maintain detailed site documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and progress tracking.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and site-specific safety plans.
- Represent the company professionally in meetings with clients, public agencies, and other stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Superintendent - Public Works Construction in Los Angeles:
- 7+ years of experience in DSA or public works building and construction, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent role.
- Strong knowledge of Caltrans specifications, LADOT, LA County, or other Southern California public agency standards.
- Proven track record of successful field leadership on public works projects.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
