Position: Project/Program Manager V (Sr. Program Manager Facility Relocation & Lab Construction) Location: Redmond, WA 98052 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Job Description Project Kuiper is client's initiative to deliver global broadband service through a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites.
The Development Operations (DevOps) team plays a critical role in enabling the design, prototyping, and testing of Kuiper's hardware by maintaining specialized labs and technical infrastructure.
As we expand into a new development facility, we are seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead the coordination of all move-related activities - spanning construction timelines, utility installations, lab build-outs, and stakeholder relocations.
This individual will own the master schedule and drive cross-functional alignment between lab users, facilities, contractors, and clientinfrastructure teams to ensure a smooth transition.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role requiring excellent program management fundamentals, strong technical understanding, and exceptional stakeholder communication.
You will work closely with the Industrial Engineer, Facilities & Equipment Manager, and technical teams to ensure timelines are realistic, risks are identified early, and handoffs between teams are seamless.
Key Responsibilities Own and manage the integrated program schedule for facility build-out, equipment delivery, lab readiness, and team relocation
Drive cross-functional coordination across design engineering, test, DevOps, facilities, contractors, and clientworkplace teams
Identify critical path tasks, resource constraints, and interdependencies, escalating and resolving issues proactively
Conduct regular schedule reviews with stakeholders and ensure documentation is continuously updated
Translate technical and construction inputs into clear timelines, milestones, and decision gates
Support scope planning and sequencing for lab layout readiness, utilities, safety approvals, and equipment commissioning
Ensure communication clarity across all stakeholders and manage change control processes for evolving timelines
Create and maintain program-level dashboards, progress updates, and risk mitigation strategies
Basic Qualifications 7+ years of direct experience managing complex technical programs in lab, R&D, construction, or manufacturing environments
Proven ability to manage large-scale facility build-outs or lab construction efforts involving multiple engineering and infrastructure teams
Strong proficiency in project/program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Confluence, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to operate independently, drive alignment across stakeholders, and lead through ambiguity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of managing senior-level stakeholders
Technical fluency in lab environments, utilities planning, or equipment enablement
Preferred Qualifications Experience with R&D lab construction or hardware development facility moves
Familiarity with industrial codes, utilities infrastructure (HVAC, power, gases), and equipment readiness workflows
PMP certification or equivalent program management training
Experience working in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments
Knowledge of clientsystems or processes (if internal transfer is a possibility)
