Quality Control Manager - Construction

iParametrics is hiring a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQC) / Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to support Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects across the country. This role requires an experienced construction professional who will be onsite during all phases of work, serving as the client’s eyes and ears on the ground to ensure quality and safety compliance at every stage.
ResponsibilitiesConstruction Quality Control (CQC) Prepare, implement, and update the Quality Control Plan
Attend coordination meetings with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Implement the “Three Phases of Control” for all definable features of work
Perform inspections to verify compliance with contract documents
Stop work and enforce corrections for any non-compliant work
Submit daily QC reports and lead weekly CQC meetings
Oversee submittal review and approval process
Maintain daily updates of As-Built drawings
Coordinate and log onsite/offsite testing
Review invoices to confirm contract-compliant work prior to approval
Support punch-list and pre-final inspections
Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) Develop and enforce project-specific health and safety plans
Conduct daily site safety inspections and log findings
Lead tailgate safety meetings
Serve as the point of contact for all site safety matters
Investigate incidents and complete formal reports
Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and other relevant regulations
Basic Qualifications CQC Requirements (One of the following):
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences with 3+ years of recent CQC experience, OR
8+ years of recent construction experience with at least 3 years as a CQC Manager
SSHO Requirements:
Minimum 5 years combined experience as a QC Manager/SSHO on similar construction projects
Completion of the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety course (or equivalent training)
Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and hazard identification protocols
If serving as SSHO:
Additional 5 years of construction safety experience OR
3 years if possessing a CSP or safety-related degree
